My Perfect Way to Spend a Day in Naples, FL

A Perfect Day in Naples: From Pilates to Sunset

There’s something pretty magical about slowing down and enjoying Naples like a local. If I had a full day off (dreamy, right?), here’s exactly how I’d spend it...no inbox, no errands, just all my favorite things.

Start with a Stretch & an Açaí

First stop: Pilates Hive. Sylvia is not only the best instructor in town — she’s also our neighbor in the plaza, which makes going to class feel extra special. I always leave feeling strong, centered, and a little taller (or maybe that’s just wishful thinking).

After Pilates, I make a beeline to The Bowl. I’m an AB&J loyalist (hold the coconut, always), and their acai bowls are the perfect post-class pick-me-up. Refreshing, filling, and just the right kind of fuel for a day out and about.

Mid-Morning with Sprout

Next up, a little adventure with shop dog Sprout. We love strolling through Baker Park and hitting the Gordon River Greenway. It’s peaceful, shaded, and full of friendly faces, both human and furry. Sprout takes the lead (literally), and I just enjoy the fresh air and sunshine.

Lunch & People Watching? Yes, Please.

By now, it’s lunchtime and I’m ready for something good. Captain & Krewe never disappoints. It’s tucked right by Cambier Park and has the perfect little outdoor setup for people watching. If you haven’t tried the lobster grilled cheese, let me just say it is LIFE CHANGING. While I'll admit it is a bit of a splurge, it's so worth the calories.  Plus, this is a a "treat yourself" kind of day after all.

Afternoon: Treasure Hunting Mode

After dropping Sprout off at home (and maybe taking a very important nap), I head out for some treasure hunting. Chesterdale’s and Treasure Island Antiques are two of my favorite spots for one-of-a-kind finds. And I can’t go into Summerfield’s without finding something beautiful for the house — or a gift for someone else (okay, sometimes just for me).  Definitely hit these up if you're in the area and in need of a little retail therapy.  I can promise you that you will not leave empty handed.

Shells, Sunsets & Sandwiches

No perfect day is complete without a beach moment. Before heading to the sand, I swing by Lola 41 for sushi takeout.  Their rolls are fresh, flavorful, and generously sized (a must!). Sushi is hands-down my favorite food, and grabbing it to-go for a sunset dinner on the beach feels like the ultimate treat.

I head to my favorite stretch just south of the pier...it’s usually a little quieter, perfect for shelling and soaking in that salty air. Shelling has become one of my favorite ways to unwind. Peaceful, meditative, and just the right amount of treasure hunt.

Sitting on the sand with sushi in hand and the sun dipping into the Gulf? Nothing beats enjoying my favorite food in my favorite place. As the sun dips over the Gulf, I always feel this wave of gratitude. Living in Southwest Florida still feels like a dream sometimes. And days like this? Pure magic.
