Meet the Owner, Megan McClure

I grew up in a small town in North Carolina, where my family’s long history in retail quietly shaped my future. After college, I packed my bags for Kentucky and began a career in equestrian retail, working for two wonderful companies — one of them a nonprofit — that taught me the ins and outs of running a business and connecting with customers.
In 2016, I decided it was time to create something of my own, and Southern Sunday was born. It started as an online boutique, but just six months later I opened my first brick-and-mortar in the same historic town where I had my very first job. That little shop eventually grew into a bigger space, and in 2020, I felt God was prompting me toward a new chapter. After a few years of preparing for the move, I landed in sunny Naples, Florida, in December 2022. Six months later, I found the space that is now home to Southern Sunday.
Outside the shop, I’ve been a competitive horseback rider for most of my life, though these days you’re more likely to find me on the golf course than in the saddle. Sushi is my all-time favorite food — I could happily eat it every day — and travel is always on my mind, with Switzerland next on my bucket list. My personal style swings from all-neutral classics to vibrant resort prints, and if I’m not working or traveling, there’s a good chance I’m rewatching Friends for the hundredth time.
Southern Sunday is more than just a boutique to me — it’s a reflection of the places I’ve been, the things I love, and the style I want to share with you.
