Celebrating 8 Years of Southern Sunday
Eight years ago, Southern Sunday began as a small dream and an online boutique. What started as a way to share my love of style and thoughtfully chosen pieces slowly grew into something bigger than I could have imagined. Those early years taught me so much about building a brand from the ground up and connecting with customers through a screen, long before we ever had a physical space to welcome you in.
Not long after, the opportunity came to move from online-only into a shared retail space. That season of business was a turning point. It was my first experience seeing customers touch, try on, and fall in love with pieces in person. It gave Southern Sunday a heartbeat in a whole new way. When the time was right, we took the leap into opening our very own location. That step felt both terrifying and exhilarating—yet it was exactly what Southern Sunday needed to grow into the boutique it is today.
In 2023, another major chapter unfolded. We packed up and moved from Kentucky to Naples, Florida, bringing Southern Sunday to a new home by the sea. This transition was more than a change of address—it was a chance to honor the heart of our brand, one that has always been inspired by classic coastal style, sunshine, and community. Today, Southern Sunday has found its place as a Naples women’s boutique offering elevated everyday fashion for modern coastal living. Naples has embraced us with open arms, and it feels like the perfect place to continue building Southern Sunday’s story.
Retail is something deeply woven into my family’s history, and carrying that legacy forward is one of my proudest accomplishments. I grew up hearing what it meant to run a business, to care for customers, and to create something lasting. Southern Sunday is my own version of that story—one that blends tradition with a fresh, coastal spirit.
Looking back on the past eight years, I see more than just the growth of a women’s clothing boutique. I see how this journey has shaped me personally and professionally. Owning a boutique has stretched me in ways I never expected—teaching resilience, patience, and the beauty of building something day by day. I’m proud of what Southern Sunday has become, and even more grateful for the community who has supported us at every stage.
Here’s to eight years behind us and to everything still ahead. Thank you for being part of this journey. I can’t wait to see where it takes us next!
XOXO, Megan
